Rektor UMK prof. dr hab. Andrzej Sokala wyróżnił stypendiami naukowców UMK za najwyżej punktowane publikacje naukowe. W ostatnim zestawieniu zostały uwzględnione 53 publikacje z afiliacją z UMK, w tym 10 z udziałem pracowników Wydziału Nauk Biologicznych i Weterynaryjnych, które uzyskały 140 punktów według ministerialnego wykazu czasopism punktowanych.
